City St George’s, University of London has been ranked among the UK’s top 10 universities for graduate salaries and high-skilled jobs in the Daily Mail University Guide 2026, confirming its status as one of the country’s most career-focused institutions.
The University also placed 26th overall out of 128 ranked institutions, a strong result for the newly merged university in its first full year.
The Guide, which scores universities across graduate outcomes, teaching quality, student satisfaction, and subject-level performance, highlights City St George’s as a national leader in employability. With median salaries among the highest in the UK, and with 84.8% of graduates entering high-skilled jobs or further study within 15 months, the University ranks 6th for graduate salaries and 7th for high-skilled jobs.
Subject-level rankings reinforce the University’s professional edge, with a number of subjects featuring in the top 10 in the UK:
- Biomedical Sciences 1st nationally
- Anatomy 1st nationally
- Finance (4th)
- Accounting (6th)
- Marketing (6th)
- Health Science (7th)
- Artificial Intelligence (9th)
- Business Studies (10th).

The Guide also praises City St George’s for its real-world relevance, noting the University’s strong industry links, clinical practitioner programmes, and central London location. Alastair McCall, editor of the Daily Mail University Guide, said:
“Applications and admissions at [City St George’s] two predecessor institutions were already on the rise, up 9% and 16% respectively on the previous year for courses beginning in September 2024, so there is every chance of creating an academic powerhouse.
“Almost four in every five UK entrants were recruited from the capital and almost two-thirds of the intake were of Asian or Black heritage.”
“City St George's is now one of the largest suppliers of healthcare workers in the capital.”
