City St George's School of Communication & Creativity is a socially engaged and politically conscious centre of educational excellence and world-changing interdisciplinary research which shapes and influences professional practice.
We support and develop the next generation of practitioners and entrepreneurs who work across, the cultural, creative, music, heritage and media sectors. The School brings together our renowned Department of Journalism, with two new Departments: The Department of Media, Culture and Creative Industries; and the Department of Performing Arts – which incorporates the recently-acquired Urdang Academy, one of the UK’s finest performing arts colleges, specialising in musical theatre and dance.
Our students come together from around the world, and diverse educational and cultural backgrounds. We nurture their talent and practical skills in our outstanding facilities, with first class teaching and student-centred support.

Our Journalism studios and newsrooms were developed in consultation with experts from the BBC and ITN, and our specialist music studio spaces are fitted with the latest industry-standard equipment. As a result, our students gain unrivalled experience of real-world workplaces, developing practical skills which enhance their employability after graduation. Based in the heart of London, the School of Communication & Creativity is a leading centre for critical conversations among scholars, industry leaders, performers, journalists and the general public. We welcome artists and creatives for periods of residency, to offer masterclasses and to work with us in developing innovative, interdisciplinary research.
