Whether you are new to recruiting at City St George's or have a strong history of hiring our students and graduates, many of them will be learning about your organisation for the very first time.
There are a number of ways to make our students more aware of the opportunities your organisation has to offer and why they should consider you.
Skills workshops
Employer workshops aim to prepare students via the delivery of practical sessions to support students in developing key skills prior to them entering the graduate labour market.
Careers panels
Our panel events are designed in collaboration with our academic departments and aim to promote certain sectors and career paths to a large audience of students.
By participating at a panel, you can highlight your career journey to our students and discuss any of the barriers that you overcame that enabled you to carve out your own successful career.
Careers presentations
Presentations are used by recruiters to raise their profile within City St George's and promote their graduate, internship, and/or placement opportunities to students.
This is an excellent chance for you to inform City St George's students about your industry, organisational culture and different career paths, as well as your recruitment and selection process.
Careers fairs
Fairs are an excellent way to meet engaged and enthusiastic students where you can advertise opportunities within your organisation and what the requirements are for graduates to be successful applicants with you.
Student consultancy
This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in an integrated element of the curriculum by supplying real-life consultancy projects for our final year BSc Management students. Working in groups of between 4-6 students, our students will work on a live case and present their findings back you.
Mentoring student entrepreneurs
We are always looking to expand our network of mentors to support our growing community of student and graduate entrepreneurs.
We have a wide range of entrepreneurs that equally need a wide range of support, coaching and expertise to help them develop skills on their startup journey.
Mentoring sessions are typically coordinated to fit with your schedule, we recommend freeing up an afternoon so that you can have an opportunity to meet with 3-4 of our startups in one go.
We will circulate your bio and highlight areas that you feel comfortable offering advice and help with so that startups can book a meeting to help with a relevant topic.
If you are interested in sharing your skills, time and expertise with our growing startup community please register your interest or contact us with any questions by emailing simon.magness@city.ac.uk.
