City St George’s is committed to providing the opportunity of higher education to all students who can benefit from it, regardless of circumstance and background.
Our Widening Participation Outreach activities are targeted to reach those who will most benefit, and where we can have the greatest impact. Focusing on our London location, we work in schools with a high proportion of learners from deprived backgrounds and with lower than expected rates of progression into higher education.
We are proud to work in collaboration with a range of partners, including St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, with whom The School of Health and Medical Sciences (Tooting campus) run our successful Healthcare Shadowing Scheme.

Access and participation plans
- Access and participation plans are crucial documents that detail how higher education providers will enhance equality of opportunity for underrepresented groups. The goal is to help these students access, succeed in, and progress from higher education.
