Every year, the Employer Engagement team run several extra-curricular events that aim to develop the employability skills of our students, support their career planning and ultimately contribute to their successful transition into the graduate labour market.
We are keen to partner with employers from across all sectors to develop sustainable and long-lasting strategic partnerships.

City St George's annual careers fair
- Date: Wednesday, 8th October 2025
- Time: 11:00 - 4:00pm
- Location: Onsite at City St George's, University of London
- Cost: Free
Our autumn careers fair aims to connect large, multinational organisations with students from Schools and programmes across City St George's, University of London.
Please note this is a cross-sector/cross-School event so recruiters should expect to meet students from subject areas across all of City St George's Schools.
If you are keen to meet students from specific programmes, please let us know via the booking form, and our marketing team will ensure the organisation and opportunities are advertised directly to those students.

Employability skills programme
- Date: During September and throughout October

Our Employability Skills Programme (ESP) is our flagship series that depicts the journey of the graduate recruitment process.
Hosted by Times Top 100 employers and often attended by 100-150 students, each session aims to equip students for success in the various stages of the graduate recruitment and selection process.
All sessions will be delivered onsite and sessions will be recorded and held in a central repository for students to view back.

Explore and discover panels

- Cost: Free for organisations to participate
The aim of our panels are to help students understanding the intricacies of roles within their sectors of interest, how their skills from their degree can be translated into the work place and to hear more about the day to day aspect of the role.
Hosted by a member of the Careers and Employability team, these events are an ideal opportunity for industry professionals to showcase specific roles within the business/sector.

Company presentations and workshops

We host several company presentations and workshops throughout the year that aim to raise awareness of businesses and as well as providing the students an opportunity to immerse themselves in a practice exercise.
These sessions are great for businesses wishing to raise awareness of their opportunities and/or brand, or if you are looking to assess students through an informal practical exercise.
By attending a session, we expect students to
- Have a greater understanding of the skills required to succeed in the recruitment process
- To have visibility of the various roles that sit within the business
- To have clarity on application timelines.

Inclusive careers series
Our inclusive careers series is an opportunity for businesses of all sizes and from all sectors to meet City St George's students and discuss the practices that are being adopted that support inclusivity within the workplace.
With a heavily diverse student population, we actively encourage businesses to demonstrate how they attract and retain diverse talent, as well as demystifying what inclusivity looks like in the sector and/or business.
