As a postgraduate student, you'll be invited to make an application for City St George's halls once you've firmly accepted your course offer at City St George's
Halls of residence accommodation is available for full-time postgraduate students, at the following halls:
You can list your preferences on the application form. We aim to give you your first choice where possible, but this can't always be guaranteed.
Allocation of halls will be assessed according date of application submitted. Our allocation process will commence from June 2024 and will be ongoing until all rooms have been booked at each hall.
Please note, we are not always able to assist everyone who applies for accommodation with us therefore we would also recommend you view other housing option in the private housing market.
Making your application
Once you have firmly accepted your course offer you will be sent an email with a link to the accommodation application form.
Your course offer can be conditional or unconditional, but if you're holding a conditional offer you should read the cancellation policy for the hall you have been nominated for, in the event you do not meet the entry requirements of the course.
It can take a few working days for your course application record to be updated to show your firm acceptance. Once it has been updated you will be sent the invitation email automatically. If you do not receive this email you should contact the accommodation team.
There's no deadline for postgraduate accommodation applications, but as rooms are limited an early application is recommended.
Allocation and offer dates
- Round 1 – week commencing 7 April 2025.
- Round 2 – date to be confirmed.
Unique personal circumstances
If you have a medical condition or disability which affects your accommodation requirements, you should complete the relevant section on the accommodation application form.
You will also need to contact our Student Health & Wellbeing Team.
We will treat with confidentiality any information you provide; you would need to confirm if you consent to share the information, if we are to discuss your needs with our relevant partners (such as hall managers) if necessary.
Priority for room allocations will be given to students with a disability or severe medical condition. Following this, rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
Terms and conditions
Our halls are all delivered by private providers who have their own terms and conditions.
It is important to make sure you read and understand the contract before booking a room with one of our private housing partners.
Once you have made a room booking your reservation will remain active unless cancelled within the cancellation terms & conditions set out by the provider.
Accommodation is provided for the first year of studies only. If you wish to remain in halls for another term your request will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, in the first instance you should contact the accommodation team at City St George's to discuss.
