Short courses
Our short courses have been created in collaboration with leading scientists and clinicians operating in the NHS. We can also support development of bespoke short courses to meet the training needs of your team.
Standalone modules
Many of our modules can be taken as standalone courses to suit specialist interests and offer flexibility to continued education. Many are credit bearing, meaning they can contribute towards further postgraduate qualifications.
All programmes accommodate part-time learners, blend clinical practice with academic rigor, and foster interprofessional collaboration. Courses are delivered by active clinicians backed by some of the most advanced simulation facilities in London.
Research
Research is multidisciplinary and takes place across a number of different research centres in the School of Health & Medical Sciences.
Our approach to education is research-informed and practice-led, with educators and clinicians contributing to pedagogic and clinical practice. The department supports:
- Simulation-based learning research
- Quality improvement and patient safety studies
- Interprofessional education and practice innovation
- Research outputs that feed directly into curriculum design, ensuring learning remains aligned with emerging evidence and frontline NHS practices.
