1. Plan a shopping trip
City St George's Clerkenwell campus is located in central London, close to several Underground lines so it's easy to travel around. You're just a few stops away from London's flagship shopping area in the West End - including Oxford Street and Covent Garden - with Camden Market, Portobello Road and Westfield also within reach. Plus, students get a 30% discount on the cost of a weekly travelcard.
2. Try something new
When you're living away from home for the first time, it's the perfect time to try new things. How about taking up a new sport or leisure activity or becoming a community volunteer? City St George's also has countless sports clubs, societies and volunteering opportunities available to join.
3. See art, music, theatre and dance
Every week you can find thousands of exciting cultural events across London - and many give student discounts. Try Tate Modern, Sadler’s Wells, the Barbican Centre (which includes performance hall, cinema suites and the second largest greenhouse conservatory in London), the National Theatre and many more world class cultural venues, some just minutes away from City's campus.

Locally we have some of the best restaurants in London, providing traditional and modern takes on dishes from a multitude of cultures from around the world. There are plenty of low-budget and takeaway options also, with nearby Exmouth Market and Whitecross Street providing excellent street food at lunchtime and great restaurants in the evening. Many of the local bars and pubs also serve food, often at discounted price for City St George's students. You'll be in walking distance of a variety of bars, serving up live music, theatre and film screenings as well as the more usual drinks.

London has over 3,000 parks and open spaces, making it one of the greenest capitals in the world. Try the outdoor sports areas and open air theatre at Regent's Park, row a boat on the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park, or enjoy one of the best views of London from Parliament Hill on Hampstead Heath.
