City St George's Future Solicitor Advisory Service (FSAS) provides dedicated advice to support you with the process of applying for Training Contracts and other types of Qualifying Work Experience. The guidance from FSAS supplements the broader support available to all students at City St George's from the Careers Service. The FSAS team has extensive experience of different types of legal practice and of legal recruitment procedures.
You can start using FSAS as soon as you accept your place on the Solicitors' Practice Programme (SPP) at The City Law School.
If you need one-to-one advice from FSAS advisors, you can make an individual appointment throughout the year. Our FSAS advisors can help you to prepare for interviews, assessment days or presentations.
One-to-One appointments
You can book a 20 minute appointment with a member of the FSAS team to discuss your career. Once you have booked your appointment you need to email your CV and/or application form to your FSAS advisor at least 3 days prior to your appointment.
Provision can also be made for you to have mock interviews (at short notice, if necessary) and a member of the FSAS team will act in the role of interviewer.
Careers Events
During Induction, you will be provided with information about FSAS and Careers guidance at City St George's. You will also have one-to-one appointments with your Academic Advisor throughout the SPP, at which you can discuss future career plans.
All students at The City Law School receive regular information about events & opportunities which can support their career development.
