Our halls are affordable, close to our campuses, and places are guaranteed for students who meet the criteria and application deadline. If you’re looking for accommodation in the private sector, you’ll have plenty of choices too.

Why choose halls

As a student at City St George's, you can choose from a wide range of University accommodation. Whether you’re based at Clerkenwell, Moorgate or Tooting, most halls are within walking distance of lectures, classes and laboratories. Living in halls, you’ll become part of a diverse community of people from different backgrounds.

Our Guarantee Scheme for first year undergraduates means you are assured of a room in halls if you meet the criteria and the deadline. We invest heavily in subsidies on undergraduate rents to keep your costs low.

Halls near Clerkenwell

Pick from a range of halls near Clerkenwell campus. All are within walking distance or a short journey on public transport. We have options for both undergraduate students, with prices starting from £195 per week, as well as options for postgraduate and continuing students, starting from £219 per week. These prices include your utility bills.

Halls near Tooting

Horton Halls is the closest accommodation to our Tooting campus. We have 332 standard rooms (with a single bed) and 154 premium rooms (with a small double bed). First year students are prioritised for Horton Halls, with students in subsequent years expected to find somewhere to live in the private rental sector.

We also prioritise first-year graduate students on full-time taught postgraduate programmes (including Graduate Entry Medicine) if they apply by the deadline and haven’t studied at undergraduate level in London before.

If you’re looking for accommodation while on elective, we have one flat of six bedrooms reserved for elective students.  Accommodation is only available to students who apply through the official scheme and have received written confirmation of their placement.

Why choose private accommodation?

If you prefer the idea of private accommodation or missed the deadline for guaranteed accommodation, you are in the right place – there is a huge choice of rooms, flats and houses. There are also private halls of residence near our Tooting campus. Man  y of our students start their search by finding new flatmates to buddy up with and find shared housing in the local and surrounding areas.

University of London Housing Services

The private accommodation service is run by the University of London Housing Services, which means you have access to a wide network of accommodation. You can also get free advice from the University’s housing experts on everything from landlord disputes to housing rights.
