Bayes Alumni Connect is a series of regular networking events for Bayes graduates in London, designed to help alumni create new professional connections, re-connect with old friends, and catch up with the latest news from the Business School. Each edition features a topical talk, workshop, or panel led by members of our community.
This edition will feature a talk from Bayes Business School Honorary Visiting Professor Jeremy N. White and Bayes alumnus Massimiliano Filippi (Executive MBA, 2023), on their new book ‘Automating Government: How AI Will Revolutionise Public Services’ (Routledge, 2026), a guide for political leaders, senior managers, and public officials confronting the challenges and opportunities of artificial intelligence.
As governments around the world accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence, public leaders face a defining challenge: how to harness AI to improve the effectiveness of government while preserving public trust, transparency, accountability, and democratic legitimacy. The talk will explore the transformative role of AI in the public sector, examining how intelligent technologies are reshaping service delivery, enabling data-driven policymaking, and enhancing organisational performance.
