Join us for a guided walking tour exploring Peckham’s Caribbean heritage, meeting at 9.30am for a 10am start.

The Gentrification and African Presence in Peckham (GAPP) walking tour highlights the spaces occupied by the Caribbean community, 1960-1990.
It contextualises the significant educational, recreational, and cultural spaces that shaped Peckham’s history over this period, visiting Caribbean heritage landmarks that illuminate the community’s history and impact on the economic, social, and cultural capital of Peckham.
The GAPP walk is conducted by founder and CEO Dr Charmaine Brown and lasts for about 1.5 hours. The tour is free to join and welcome to all. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
This event is co-hosted with the Thinking Through Infrastructure Network. For updates on forthcoming events please follow @TTinfraNetwork on Instagram or Bluesky, or join the mail list by writing to Dominic Davies.
