Bayes Alumni Connect is a series of regular networking events for Bayes graduates in London, designed to help alumni create new professional connections, re-connect with old friends, and catch up with the latest news from the Business School. Each edition features a topical talk, workshop, or panel led by members of our alumni community.
This edition will feature a 45-minute interactive masterclass led by Pankti Killawala (BSc Actuarial Science, 2008) on the theme of:
The Art of Effective Delegation
Irrespective of where you are in your career and personal journey, one skill remains critical to leadership success: delegation. Yet research shows that nearly 70% of managers experience burnout due to ineffective delegation, directly impacting team performance, morale, and productivity. In this workshop, Pankti will help you:
- Identify common barriers to effective delegation and understand the key benefits
- Learn a proven step-by-step framework that empowers teams and boosts productivity
- Take part in a live delegation exercise to practise skills in real time
By the end of the session, attendees will:
- Feel more confident in their ability to delegate effectively
- Have a clear process they can apply immediately to real life situations
- Be better equipped to reduce personal burnout, empower team members, and focus on strategic and personal priorities
Following the masterclass, there will be plenty of time to network with fellow alumni over drinks and refreshments.
