Whether your a total beginner or fine-tuning your French skills, we have a course for you. Our online courses can help you to learn French in a interactive and engaging way, drawing on cultural elements and current affairs. You can learn French in the evenings from the comfort of home - ideal for fitting around busy schedules. Our start dates are flexible too – we have online French short courses starting in October, January and April/May.
Find your level
We teach French at a range of levels, from beginners onwards. Each level is made up of three parts and covers a range of areas, including basic grammar and everyday vocabulary. How you study is up to you – take one 10-week module or join us for the full year.
Beginners - year 1
Develop a solid grasp of basic French. You’ll explore everyday vocabulary and simple grammatical structures.

- Suitable for near beginners (you’ve studied French formally for 20+ hours)

- Suitable for experienced beginners (you’ve studied French formally for 40+ hours)

- 10 evening classes over 10 weeks.

Beyond Beginners - year 2
Perfect and improve your French beginners skills and communicate with greater fluency.
Working towards Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) A1/2 level.

- completed our French Beginners syllabus or a similar course
- a rusty French GCSE
- studied French formally 60-100 hours.

- completed our Beyond Beginners syllabus or a similar course
- a good or recent GCSE
- reached CEFR A2 level
- studied French formally for 120-140 hours

Upper Intermediate - year 4
Debate complex topics, improve your fluency. We’ll help you communicate with native speakers with ease and boost your accuracy when writing.
Working towards Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) B2 level.
Join us here if you have:
- completed our Lower Intermediate syllabus or a similar course
- a French A-level
- reached CEFR B1 level French
- studied French formally for 180- 210 hours.
