French Advanced - Level 6 Course overview
Our Advanced course will help you develop the skills to communicate at this level, giving you the confidence to interact with ease in both personal and professional settings.
Who is it for?
You should already be able to communicate at CEFR B2 level (at least 300 hours of formal study) or have completed our French Level 5 Upper Intermediate course or equivalent.
Timetable
The full beginners course includes 60 hours of online learning and is taught across three modules.

What will I learn?
Topics covered
Topics such as formal and informal use of the language are covered in depth using appropriate situations and scenarios to practice and apply learning.
Grammatical structures
Grammer studied at Advanced builds on and develops structures taught at lower levels
Assessment and certificates
To qualify, you must attend at least70% of classes.
Teaching
Classes are highly interactive and include:
- Small group work and role-play
- Listening to audio materials (e.g. radio clips)
- Reading articles and texts
- Watching video content
- Digital learning tools to support your progress
You’ll also explore French culture, current affairs and traditions alongside language learning.
Eligibility
It is the right level if you have either:
- Completed our Upper Intermediate Level5 course or equivalent
- around 300 hours of formal study, alongside additional independent learning
You should already be able to:
- talk about the future and make hypotheses
- express intention, judgement and opinions
- use advanced vocabulary when travelling
- discuss news and current affairs with a comparative approach
- write letters and emails expressing disappointment and disagreement
