Study Acute Medicine

Acute Medicine is the frontline of hospital care, where you will learn to assess and treat patients presenting with a wide range of urgent and complex conditions.

You will develop essential clinical skills, rapid decision-making abilities, and confidence in managing acutely unwell patients across different hospital settings.

At City St George’s, you will benefit from teaching led by practising acute physicians and emergency care specialists, with early exposure to real-world clinical environments.

Your learning will combine case-based discussions, simulation training, and supervised placements within Acute Medical Units and short-stay wards, helping you understand patient pathways from admission to discharge.
