For those already working in the industry, we require a first degree, recognised professional qualification or the equivalent Certificate of Competence as Master or Chief Engineer: Class 1 Master Mariner or Class 1 Engineer and experience in one of these roles. Those with Class 2 qualifications and/or relevant experience in the maritime field can be considered on a case-by-case basis.

For those coming straight from an undergraduate course, we require a lower second-class honours degree (or higher) in a relevant subject such as Science, Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Maritime/Maritime/Nautical Studies, Business, Economics, Law or Languages from a recognised institution. Applicants from other degree backgrounds can be considered on a case-by-case basis if they demonstrate a strong interest in the field and/or have relevant work experience.
