Intercalation involves taking out a year out of a Medicine programme to undertake an additional degree (either at undergraduate or postgraduate level). It is an exciting opportunity for current medical students to expand their skillset and knowledge by studying a specific area of interest.
What are the benefits of intercalating?
- Enables you to enhance your knowledge and expertise within a specialised subject area
- Boosts your research, scientific and academic writing skills
- Supports your career development and strengthens your CV
- Graduate with a named pathway on your degree
- Allows you to expand your network outside of your clinical programme
At City St George’s, Tooting Campus, we currently offer several programmes for intercalation which are available for current medical students
