In his speech at the event, Dr Child remarked:

The awards give recognition for outstanding work by our students during their placement year. City St George’s is an institution which puts careers, employability, and work with industry at the heart of what we do and has a long history or producing captains of industry and leaders in their fields. These awards acknowledge both the excellent work our students have achieved, and the incredible contributions of the companies which have given them an opportunity to excel.
