Our MSc in Genomic Medicine at the School of Health & Medical Sciences has received a scholarship award of £10,000 from Lupin Healthcare UK - part of a global pharmaceutical company - for one student starting their studies with us in September 2025. This is the first sponsored scholarship in the history of the Genomic Medicine programme and will allow us to help students manage the rising costs of living and studying in London by offering a tuition fee discount of £10,000 to support their studies.
Dr Emma Matthews (Reader in Neurology at the School of Health & Medical Sciences and Honorary Consultant Neurologist, Director for the Genomics Clinical Academic group), says of this new collaboration:
“Studying Genomic Medicine leads to a diverse range of careers, from working as product developers to research associates and bioinformaticians."
“It will also ensure our MSc in Genomic Medicine is accessible to more talented future healthcare graduates with a passion for increasing our understanding and diagnosis of diseases, personalising treatment, and improving health outcomes for patients.
We hope that we will be able to continue supporting more of our MSc Genomic Medicine students in future years.”
Who is eligible?
There is no additional application process for this scholarship. All home applicants who apply for the MSc Genomic Medicine before 1 June 2025 will automatically be eligible for this scholarship. Selection is carried out by a Scholarship Committee*, which will consider each home student’s MSc application and award scholarships based on your degree classification, references, personal statement and interview.
