About the speaker
Arun Advani is a Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick and Director of the Centre for the Analysis of Taxation (CenTax); he is also a Research Fellow at the Institute for Fiscal Studies and a Visiting Fellow at the LSE International Inequalities Institute.
His research studies inequality, tax compliance and tax design, with a particular focus on those with high incomes or wealth, as well as environmental taxation, migration and taxation in lower-income countries.
His recent work has covered, among others, the migration responses of top earners to tax rates, the taxation of “non-doms”, capital gains and wealth, and the dynamic effects of tax audits.
