About the speaker
Sascha O. Becker is a Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick and the Xiaokai Yang Chair of Business and Economics at Monash University.
He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society, an Associate Editor of the Quarterly Journal of Economics and a member of the Board of Editors of the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics.
His research lies in economic history, with recent work on forced migration, genocides and persecution, the legacy of the Habsburg Empire, and religion and human capital.
