About the speaker
Thiemo Fetzer is a Professor of Economics at the University of Warwick, an Academic Visitor at the Bank of England, an Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and a Fellow of the British National Institute for Social and Economic Research (NIESR).
His research spans applied economics, political economy and economic development, with a strong emphasis on data science and machine-learning methods.
His recent work has covered, among others, Brexit, austerity, the economic roots of political discontent, and how firms and economies respond to large shocks.
