Amanda Goodall PhD - is Professor of Leadership at Bayes Business School (formerly Cass). Her research analyses the relationship
between leadership, management and organisational performance. It shows that leaders who have a deep understanding of the core business (‘expert leaders’) are associated with better organisational performance, higher employee job satisfaction and fewer quits. Being a good manager alone is not sufficient. Evidence supporting the ‘theory of expert leadership’ comes from healthcare, across business, universities, sports, and among professionals. Amanda publishes in academic journals, practitioner publications (e.g. HBR.org) and in the media (e.g. Financial Times). Her recent book “Credible: The Power of Expert Leaders”, won the SABEW 2023 Best in Business Book Award for Management and Leadership. She has been a fellow at Cornell, IZA, University of Zurich and Yale University. She is the founder of the Executive Masters in Medical Leadership tailored to the needs of medical doctors and launching new programmes Executive Masters in Leadership and Finance for the Creative Industries, and Executive Masters’ in Education Leadership and Police Leadership. Bina Mehta - is a non-executive director of EXL, a NASDAQ listed data and AI company and was previously Chair of KPMG UK, leading the transformation and growth of the business, including the merger with KPMG Switzerland. She has spent her career leading complex
transformations, driving sustainable growth and championing purposeful business
She has lived and worked across three continents and helped set up KPMG’s Indian firm, established new business in Canada, led technology M&A in the US and led the UK’s Emerging Giants practice, focused on fast growth technology companies.
Honoured with an MBE for services to UK trade and investment and supporting female entrepreneurs, Bina is a Board Member of the International Chambers of Commerce UK, an Honorary Fellow in Entrepreneurship at Cambridge Judge Business School, Visiting Professor at Bayes Business School and Council Member of Institute for Fiscal Studies.
Sacha Sadan - Senior Advisor to the FCA (Financial Conduct Authority). Until recently he was Director of Sustainable Finance at the FCA for
5 years. Facilitating the UK financial regulator to embed sustainability across the wide spectrum of regulatory activities and reporting to the CEO. He has been named a City Influencer by Financial News as one of the biggest 25 names who have been instrumental in shaping the UK's financial services industry. Also an Honorary Professor at the Alliance Manchester Business School at The University of Manchester. Previously Sacha was Director of Investment Stewardship (10 years) and on the board at LGIM, one of the world’s largest asset managers. Sacha had responsibility for investment stewardship, including environmental, social and governance (ESG). Previously recognised in the Financial Times Sacha was a UK equity portfolio manager at Gartmore and started his career at Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) pension fund. Sacha is a Fellow of CFA, CGI and was a founding member of the UK Investor Forum.
Dr Eliza Filby - is a historian of the present, Sunday Times bestselling author and founder of All Relative. Her
work explores the forces reshaping how we work, live, love and age, from AI and the future of work to wealth, inheritance, family life and generational change. She is the author of three books, including Inheritocracy, and creator of the weekly newsletter and YouTube show It’s All Relative.
Eliza began her career as an academic. She holds a PhD in contemporary history from the University of Warwick and has taught at King’s College London and Renmin University in Beijing. She has since lectured around the world, including as a guest lecturer at Harvard Law School.
