Welcome to the launch of Newsroom CPR (Covering Populism Right): a concrete, practical guide for journalists and newsrooms who cover populist authoritarianism, based on Dr Ayala Panievsky’s new book, The New Censorship, and supported by the Centre for Journalism and Democracy.

Michael Hauser-Tov (political correspondent for Haaretz and ex-fellow at the Oxford Reuters Institute of Journalism) and Ayala Panievsky (Department of Journalism, City St George’s University) have been working together to turn decades of academic literature on journalism and populism into a useful, hands-on guide for reporters and editors. It is based on journalists' experiences and studies conducted worldwide.
