City St George’s AI Research Day brings colleagues together across Schools and research communities to share what is working in AI-enabled research, surface priority needs, and build cross-disciplinary collaborations.
About the event
The day will focus on practical, research-led uses of AI, with attention to responsible adoption, available support, and the infrastructure, partnerships and guidance that can help researchers work effectively.
The programme will include a mix of leadership framing, a featured research talk, short lightning talks and panel sessions from Schools, centres, doctoral researchers and enabling teams, spotlights on the AI Research Centre and the Institute for Creativity and AI, and structured School showcases with Q&A.
There will also be sessions on responsible AI research practice, institutional support (including guidance and resources), and highlights of key AI research capabilities and partnerships.
What to expect
The day will include dedicated time for networking, informal discussion, and a research marketplace designed to help colleagues connect quickly and explore shared interests.
Lunch will be provided.
