In partnership with the Department of Journalism at City St George's, CNN, Sky News, Safely Held Spaces and Public Media Alliance.
The MediaStrong Conference is an annual global gathering focused on strengthening mental wellbeing in journalism and building healthier, more sustainable newsroom cultures.
Now in its fourth year, the 2026 conference is centred on collaboration - bringing together newsroom leaders, journalists with lived experience, and trauma-facing professionals from across sectors to share what works in practice.
Journalists, editors, newsroom leaders, HR professionals and mental health specialists will come together to exchange insight, explore real-world strategies, and identify approaches that can be adopted across the industry. The focus is on practical solutions - drawing on lived experience, frontline reporting, and evidence-informed approaches to support safer, stronger editorial environments.
By creating space for honest conversation and shared learning, MediaStrong 2026 aims to help news organisations build cultures where journalists are better supported to do their jobs - and where mental wellbeing is embedded as a core part of newsroom practice.
The event will be followed by networking.
