Cellist and researcher Marianne presents an afternoon recital, exploring some of the core repertoire she refers to in her PhD research, Participatory Musicking and Arts Activities for Women and Children Living in Refuge: A Qualitative, Arts-Based Inquiry into Impact and Process for Survivors of Domestic Violence.
Now approaching the final stages of submission, Marianne is performing a carefully curated selection of music for cello with piano, cello solo and cello with guitar intended for healing or simply to enjoy and relax. This is the first of three recitals exploring music for cello and the outcomes of her research and her work as hospital musician and music activist. There will be projected images throughout the recital providing further explanation about Marianne’s work and research outcomes.
