Call for Posters 2025 City St George's Food Policy Symposium
Are you an MSc, PhD or Early Career Researcher working on food systems issues? Do you want to showcase your research and network with other scholars and practitioners at a leading international symposium? If so, we invite you to submit a poster proposal for the 2025 City St George's Food Policy Symposium , which will take place on May 15th 2025, at City St George's, University of London in Clerkenwell, London, UK.
The symposium will explore how professional cookery can be prioritised and reimagined through food policy to support healthy, sustainable, equitable and resilient food systems. It will identify the practical needs and policy opportunities for a food systems approach to professional cookery, hearing from practitioners, policymakers and academics.
We welcome poster proposals that address any of the following themes:
- Professional pathways and labour issues in the food system
- Food systems focused curriculums and shifting societal norms around food
- Procurement policy and middle stage actions for food systems change
- Integrating food policy pathways for health, environmental and economic benefits
The poster session will be a low key part of the symposium, where you will have the opportunity to stand next to your poster and engage with a diverse and knowledgeable audience, receive feedback, and exchange ideas. Poster numbers are limited and selection will be a competitive process based on the quality and relevance of the proposals.
To apply, please submit an abstract of no more than 250 words, along with your name, affiliation, and contact details, using this form by March 28th, 2025. You will be notified of the outcome by April 11th, 2025. If your proposal is accepted, you will be required to produce a physical poster (A1 Landscape) to be displayed at the symposium, as well as email a digital copy of the poster (to foodpolicy@city.ac.uk) by the 30th of April 2025. Accepted abstracts and posters will be uploaded to Figshare placing it in the public domain and given a DOI (making it searchable and shareable using a CC-BY-4.0 licence).
We look forward to receiving your poster proposals and seeing you at the symposium!
