About the Event
Join us for Embracing Neurodiversity, Inspiring Change, a special edition of our Education Forum dedicated to neurodiversity in healthcare education and practice. This session will be led by Dr Sadhbh O’Dwyer, an external researcher from the University of Limerick, who brings both academic insight and lived experience to the conversation.
Guest Speaker
Dr Sadhbh O’Dwyer is known for her ability to connect theory with real-world application in a clear, accessible, and engaging way. Her research focuses on justice, neurodiversity, and inclusive education, particularly in healthcare settings. Dr O’Dwyer also draws on her own lived experience of disability and her work with healthcare professionals across the UK and Ireland.
What to Expect
This interactive session will feature two thought-provoking presentations:
- Theories of Justice and Neurodiversity Explore how justice frameworks can inform and improve neurodiversity practices in education and professional environments.
- Supporting Neurodivergent Capabilities in Healthcare Professionals – Screening Trainees for Dyslexia A look into practical strategies and considerations for supporting neurodivergent healthcare trainees.
Attendees will have the opportunity to share ideas, ask questions, and contribute to a collaborative discussion around good practice and inclusive education.
