Abstract
MATLAB offers an accessible gateway to harness the power of machine and deep learning technologies.
While these technologies can seem daunting, MATLAB's intuitive environment and comprehensive toolset make it easier for newcomers to train and deploy models effectively.
In this talk, we'll dive into how MATLAB streamlines the journey from concept to implementation, making sophisticated model development approachable for all.
Furthermore, we'll share compelling stories from MATLAB users who have leveraged these capabilities to create groundbreaking engineering solutions, demonstrating the real-world impact of integrating intelligent technologies into diverse applications.
About the speaker
Dr. Andrew Redfearn has been working at MathWorks since 2018, initially as a training engineer.
This role involved teaching a range of topics including image processing, app development, and physical modeling.
Prior to joining MathWorks Andrew conducted research at the University College London on the fluid dynamics of human swallowing. Andrew is now part of the MathWorks academia team and supports academics using MATLAB, Simulink, and Simscape.
