Presenter: Chandini Kumari-Webster (Lecturer)
What makes the Radiotherapy and Oncology BSc (Hons) special?
The Radiotherapy and Oncology BSc is taught by trained and registered therapeutic radiographers with a wide range of clinical and educational experience. Placements take place across all years of the programme. You will have access to our state-of-the-art simulation suite, learning how to plan and deliver treatment.
Who is the course for?
Constant advances in technology allow therapeutic radiographers to continue to improve the outcomes for patients with cancer, making this a rewarding career choice. With an ongoing national shortage of skilled therapeutic radiographers in both the UK and overseas, career prospects are excellent.
Careers advice and skills for employability are embedded into our teaching. We will discuss and explore career options with you, running our own mock interviews. We also have close links with careers consultants who can support CV writing, personal statements and interview practice.
Who is the presenter?
Chandini is a Senior Lecturer for the Radiotherapy & Oncology BSc Programme in the Centre for Allied Health. Her role involves teaching across all modules particularly focusing on Treatment Planning, Principles of Radiotherapy, and the application of Imaging in Radiotherapy.
She is also the careers lead for the course and the Universities and Educational representative for the Society and College of Radiographers’ London committee. Her role is to enable students to benefit from the many opportunities a rewarding career in Radiotherapy has to offer, both in the UK and abroad.
