As a midwife or midwife practitioner, you will advise, care and support women and their babies during pregnancy, labour and the early postnatal period. You'll help women to make their own decisions about care and services and will provide health education and parenting advice.

Graduates of our BMid Midwifery programme gain registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), which gives an internationally recognised professional qualification enabling you to practise in the UK and overseas.,

Our Clinical Skills Centre designed to mirror 'real' health care environments with simulated 6-bedded ward to provide an adaptable, modern and appropriate space for both teaching and research.
We have a range of specialist equipment that is used to simulate birthing situations from normal to emergency, to enable you to develop the skills you need no-matter the birthing situation.
Our department of nursing has access to simulators and realistic equipment including piped oxygen, call bells, medicines, and emergency equipment.
