At City St George's, University of London we believe that exceptional academic and clinical performance should be recognised and rewarded.
The School of Health & Medical Sciences is offering Dean's Scholarships to UK/Home fee paying students starting one of our eligible MSc programmes in September 2026 or January 2027 who can demonstrate academic excellence. Scholarships are offered at both our Clerkenwell and Tooting Campuses, please see below for courses available at each campus.
You may be eligible to apply for a scholarship of £1,500 to £3,000.
For successful applicants, the total scholarship amount will be awarded to full-time students in the form of a fee waiver from the second fee instalment. For part-time students, half of the amount will be awarded in the form of a fee waiver in the first year and half in the second year of study (again coming off the second fee instalment).
Selection process
- The award will be granted strictly on merit after a shortlisting and selection process
- The decision will be made by a selection panel and will be final.
Students applying to study at Clerkenwell Campus
Eligibility criteria
Applicants for the Dean's Scholarship for Academic and Clinical Excellence must:
- Be self-funded and not in receipt of any other scholarships (except the Graduate Loyalty Discount)
- Be entering their first year of postgraduate study on one of our post-registration (clinical) MSc programmes
- Be entering your programme of study as a Home fee paying student. Or EU nationals with settled or pre-settled status
- Have an unconditional offer before applying.
Please note this scholarship does not include the following pre-registration courses (for information on available scholarships, contact the pre-registration team at ug.prereghealth@city.ac.uk):
- MSc Speech and Language Therapy
- MSc Adult, Child or Mental Health Nursing.

- The deadline for January 2027 applications is Thursday 7th January 2027 at 12:00 (GMT).

Students applying to study at Tooting Campus
Eligibility criteria
Applicants for the Dean's Scholarship for Academic Excellence (Tooting Campus) must:
- Be self-funded and not in receipt of any other scholarships (except the Graduate Loyalty Discount)
- Have or be predicted to achieve at least an Upper Second (2:1) class degree (or equivalent)
- Be entering their first year of postgraduate study on one of the following master's programmes (applicants for the PGCert or PGDip are not eligible)
- Advanced Breast Practice MSc
- Advanced Clinical Practice MSc
- Applied Biomedical Science MSc
- Biomedical Science MRes
- Clinical Neuroscience Practice MSc
- Genomic Medicine MSc
- Global Health MSc incl online
- Medical Ethics, Law and Humanities MA
- Sports Cardiology MSc
- Be entering your programme of study as a Home fee paying student. Or EU nationals with settled or pre-settled status
- Have accepted your offer of study on the Applicant portal.
