- Creating, updating and deleting databases and tables using SQL Server Management Studio
- Updating tables using SQL Server Management Studio
- Querying Data
- Introduction to SQL: the SELECT statement, filtering with the WHERE clause, joining tables with JOIN, sorting with ORDER BY and aggregating with GROUP BY. Basic Boolean logic.
- Advanced SQL: nested queries, correlated queries, derived queries and UNIONS.
- Introduction to programming SQL Server with T-SQL and the .NET Framework
- Introduction to Client programming with Visual Studio
Assessment and certificates
You will be awarded an official City St George's, University of London certificate if you attend over 70 per cent of the classes. The course is not formally accredited.
Assessment
Continuous assessment through weekly design and querying exercises.
Eligibility
You must be IT literate.
English requirements
Applicants must be proficient in written and spoken English.
