Acute Stroke Imaging Course overview
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- understand the workflow of hyperacute stroke assessment and how imaging guides management.
- identify key findings on non-contrast CT in acute stroke - including haemorrhage, early ischaemia, and dense vessel signs.
- interpret CTA for detection of large vessel occlusion, vascular anatomy, and dissection.
- understand when CT perfusion is indicated and accurately interpret perfusion maps.
- apply imaging criteria for selecting patients for thrombectomy based on current evidence.
- develop practical skills in reviewing acute stroke imaging through interactive case sessions.

This course is designed for general radiologists, radiology trainees, neurologists, stroke physicians, and stroke/neurology trainees. It is also suitable for other clinicians and healthcare professionals with an interest in acute stroke CT imaging.
