The City Law School at City St George’s, University of London will host an evening event to launch the new open-access volume FRAND Cases in Context: Leading Cases Around the World edited by Professor Jorge L. Contreras (University of Utah), published by Edward Elgar Publishing.
The book offers concise summaries and analyses of 28 major decisions on the licensing of standards essential patents (SEPs) on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory (FRAND) terms from jurisdictions worldwide.
The event will bring together senior members of the judiciary, academics and practitioners to reflect on the development of global FRAND jurisprudence and the role of leading cases in shaping SEP licensing practice. Short interventions will be followed by a Q&A with contributors to the volume and a reception.
