The event is hosted by the Centre for Justice Reform and the Legal Practice Hub.
The Law Commission has published a Call for Evidence as part of its review of the law of Homicide. This review includes: consideration of the current two-tier structure murder and manslaughter; the partial defences of loss of control and diminished responsibility; duress; self-defence; cases where victims of domestic abuse kill their abusers; the sentencing framework for murder. Please join us for a panel discussion of some of these issues. We will hear from our experts and there will be time for discussion including contributions from the floor. You are welcome to stay for light refreshments after the event.
