About

The Department of Allied Health brings together a range of subject areas at our Tooting and Clerkenwell campuses, delivering courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Our breadth of courses within the Department includes Healthcare Science, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiography, Occupational Therapy, Paramedic Science, Physiotherapy, and Speech and Language Therapy.

Facilities

    City St George's Clerkenwell campus has one of the UK’s most well-equipped training facilities. This includes the VERT room, a fully immersive, life-sized 3D rear projection of a radiotherapy treatment room.

    Our Clerkenwell campus radiography suite contains 2 Vertix x-ray units and dental equipment, allowing students to practise a range of simulated radiographic techniques using equipment similar to that used in most hospitals.

    City St George’s has a range of facilities for Speech and Language Therapy students, including The Roberta Williams Speech and Language Therapy Centre.

    The centre is renowned for its pioneering clinical research, particularly in aphasia therapy, and offers our Speech and Language Therapy students unique practice placement opportunities.

    Speech and Language Therapy students have access to specialist labs and equipment, such as ultrasound and laryngographs. These can be used in speech pathology and research involving the tongue root.
