What subjects did you study before applying for study at university?

I completed my BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering last year and was in search of higher education which uplift my career into more focused on artificial intelligence applications in robotics. I am keen to learn about robotic concepts related to aerospace applications, autonomous automobile industries, and the biomedical fields.

What does a typical week at university look like for you?

A typical week at university includes lectures, project works, research works, lab sessions and extracurricular activities such as sports, club activities and arts. The library and cafes at university are full of students and are open until late.

I usually go and spend time referring to and taking down the lecture notes in the library after lectures. I mostly prefer physical activities in the week to refresh my mind and body after lectures and seminars.

What knowledge and skills has your course helped you develop?

I had prior knowledge on programming and skills on project presentation. I have improved in coding skills and presentation skills apart from course knowledge. Additionally, my interpersonal skills have improved because I have worked in plenty of group projects throughout my course.

My seminars always keep me updated with events and new developments within technology.

What opportunities and experiences has your School offered you so far?

I have participated on career development seminars which were arranged by the City St George's Careers Department. We were able to attend an educational trip to Airbus Defence and Space. Additionally, we were able to attend special talks delivered by industrialists from a range of leading industries from around the world.

The school offers leadership opportunities such as batch representative and group project leader, where I was once assigned as a group leader. Students have given a chance to contact the lecturer of the modules on arranging a surgery session for one hour per week to clarify their doubts regarding the subjects and theories on the lecture.

What opportunities and experience has the rest of City St George's offered you so far?

I have encouraged to attend all the events that are arranged by City St George's alumni, Students Union and City Ventures. So far, I have attended over 20 events, where some of them have helped with my career development.

I have participated in an Efficiency Access Challenge competition with the help of the coordinator for this competition. During this challenge, we had to complete a range of activities and contribute as team members.

This challenge provides the participants to keep understand the importance of SDG (Sustainable Development Goals) goals and how comes they applicable in designs.

What advice would you give to someone considering a degree in your subject?

I believe this field is for people who would like to work within challenging environments. It will require time and dedication but I think it will allow students to reach their ultimate target. As for me, I would like to do more research on understanding more concepts and applications of AI within engineering.

If you could do any job related to your subject in the world, what would it be and why?

I would like to work as a Design Engineer in the Biomedical Engineering field on designing Robotic designs for medical applications. AI plays a major role in every application in different fields all over the world and it is involved in every design and development process.
