Overview
Reid is a research student at the Department of Sociology and Criminology. In his thesis project, he investigates the practice of unauthorised 'wild' swimming in London, conducting a spatial ethnography that considers the experiences of Londoners practicing unauthorised swimming and what these experiences tell us about the intersection of polluted leisure, urban public space and social control.
His research interests include leisure, public space, transgressive spatial practices and ethnographic methods.
Reid is also experienced as a research assistant at qualitative data collection and analysis, narrative and systematic literature reviews and report writing.
