About
Overview
Bea Hebron is a singer-songwriter, composer, producer, writer, and researcher. Her musical practice embraces both experimental and popular music traditions, working at the intersection songwriting and verbal scoring. Her research focus rests on process, reciprocities, unfinishedness, and embodied knowledges.
Bea also has a background in film, curation, production, and comparative literature, as highlighted in her work across moving image, opera, and installation.
In her doctoral Practice Research project ‘Songwriting and Verbal Scoring: Reciprocities in Practice,' she develops and experiments with a set of multimodal methods for composition across songwriting and verbal scoring, and engages in a meta-critique of both these practices as they reach into one another - their intersection as epistemic locus.
