Overview
Ahmed Riad Younes is a doctoral researcher in the School of Communication and Creativity at City St George’s, University of London. His research examines accessibility for visually impaired journalists and audiences in media organisations, with a comparative focus on the United Kingdom and Arabic speaking countries. His work explores workplace accessibility, the accessibility of digital media platforms, and how legal and policy frameworks shape inclusive media practices.
He is an experienced journalist with over fifteen years of professional experience, including work with BBC Arabic and Al Masry Al Youm in Egypt. He is also the founder of Al Akhbar Braille, the first Braille magazine in Egypt. His research interests include media accessibility, digital inclusion, media regulation, and inclusive journalism.
