Julia Sahin is Centre and Consortium Manager for the Violence and Society Research Centre at City St George's and the UK Prevention and Research Partnership (UKPRP) Violence, Health and Society Consortium (VISION).
She provides programme management of the VISION grant and manages the operational functions of VISION and the Violence and Society Centre, including budgeting, financial forecasting, and HR. She also supports the team in making new funding applications.
Her previous roles have included Assistant PA to City St George’s former Vice-Chancellor, the late Professor David Rhind. More recently, she has working in funding and research grant management, executive support, and governance at the Wellcome Trust and University College London.
Julia has a BA and MA in Sociology from Durham and Oxford Brookes University respectively and is a graduate of the Chartered Governance Institute’s Qualifying Programme. She is a regular volunteer and trustee at the Trussell Trust Euston Foodbank.
