Overview
Stuart is a commercially experienced Interaction Designer / Creative Technologist based within the Centre for Human-Computer Interaction Design (HCID). He is responsible for managing The Interaction Lab, a dedicated user testing facility and the associated consultancy where he completes projects for commercial clients with a pool of MSc Student Consultants. He is also responsible for organising HCID's annual conference.
Stuart has a responsibility for introducing Immersive Technologies within SST alongside colleagues across the school and within LEaD. As part of this Stuart developed and runs the specialist MSc module INM717 Virtual Reality Design and Development for students on MSc Human-Computer Interaction, MSc User Experience Engineering and MSc Computer Games Technology, Stuart also supervises dissertation projects for MSc students. With a particular focus on projects pushing the boundaries of immersive technologies. He is also Co-Founder of Immersive Rally London. A meet-up bringing together London's immersive communiy for networking and knowledge sharing
At present Stuart is looking to collaborate internally and externally on academic research around immersive storytelling with an aim of achieving a PhD by publication.
