Overview
Poppy is an HCPC Diagnostic Radiographer in the NHS at a London Major Trauma Centre and an NIHR INSIGHT funded MSc student in Health Research Methods. Her academic and professional interests are focused on person-centred care, health inequalities, particularly those relating to body size inclusivity, advancing emerging imaging technologies and the use of systems based approaches to healthcare improvement and policy design.
She is an active member of the City St George’s Radiography Research Group (CRRAG), where she contributes to research projects and is an involved member of various professional organisations including the Society of Radiographers (SoR). In addition, she supports the Public Involvement and Engagement Strategy 2023-2027 for the NIHR School for Public Health Research. Poppy has been recognised nationally for her contributions to research and leadership, receiving the 2024 Society and College of Radiographers Learner of the Year (South West) award.
Poppy contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and curriculum delivery in the Institute of Medical, Biomedical and Allied Health Education. For the 2026/27 academic year, teaching includes the following:
- RCM133: Person-Centred Care: Applications in Healthcare
- RC2401: Principles of Radiography Research
Through these roles, she supports the development of future healthcare professionals by promoting evidence-based practice, person-centred care and research literacy within radiography education.
