Overview
Paul Solman is a Senior Lecturer in the City St George's Department of Journalism and a former national newspaper journalist.
He is Director of the MA Newspaper Journalism programme and Senior Tutor for the Department of Journalism. He teaches modules at both postgraduate and undergraduate level, including news writing, feature writing, business reporting, editorial production and journalism ethics, as well as supervising final projects and dissertations.
As a journalist, Paul has extensive professional experience on newspapers, magazines and digital channels, including more than 18 years on the staff of the Financial Times. He has also worked as a freelance writer and communications consultant.
