Overview
Nicolás is a Lecturer in Economics. He is an applied microeconomist who specialises in health economics, labour economics and economics of education.
Before joining City, Nicolás was a Research Fellow at the Paris School of Economics. He obtained his PhD from the University of Warwick.
Between 2022 and February 2026, Nicolas took unpaid leave from his academic position to serve as the head of the Chilean governmental institution responsible for advancing national efforts to reduce poverty.
