Overview
A Production Manager, Puppetry designer - maker and Electronic sound artist, Neil has worked as part of the Urdang team since 2006, and joined City St George's when Urdang became part of the then newly created Department of Performing Arts where he is Head of Production and Learning and Teaching Director.
Neil has overseen all of the productions with Urdang since 2006, and over this period has brought in many industry professionals to work with students. He currently teaches on the Performance Culture and Production Skills modules, and tutors Dissertation students on a wide range of subjects from performance design to virtual theatre.
Neil's main areas of interest include theatre history, performance art, puppetry, sound design and the use of technology to support students in educational environments. He is actively involved in events across the School of Communication and Creativity, and City St George's, as well as a number of EDI - related groups and committees.
Outside of the University, Neil has recorded a number of albums and performed live under the ongoing project Homodular.
