Overview
Dr Mariem Ben Slimane is a lecturer at The City Law School (Education and Scholarship) whose work bridges World Trade Law, International Economic Law, Banking Law and Fintech. Her recent projects include research on dispute settlement under the CPTPP, comparing practice and implementation across England, Canada and Peru; and work on exposure bias in international investment and commercial arbitration. Her research explores how treaty design and adjudicative practice shape outcomes for states and investors, with a particular interest in Global South perspectives. At City, she teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including banking law and related financial law subjects, international trade and investment.
